25 things

  1. I am terrified of crowds, yet I crowd-surfed to Blink-182 at a festival.
  2. I taught myself how to read when I was 5. I didn’t like that a kid in my kindergarten class knew how to and I didn’t.
  3. Met Hozier after his concert and got pneumonia from dancing in the parking lot in the pouring rain.
  4. I’ve been snowbiking since I was 12 and it’s my favorite. I love carving down the mountain and finding hidden tree runs I’d never seen before.
  5. In 2018, I did the Disney College Program, started in Watercraft and ended in Vacation Planning.
  6. My go-to movie (or anytime of day) snack is chocolate covered potato chips. I could eat them everyday. Ben and Jerry’s used to have a Jimmy Fallon collab flavor called Late Night Snack with chocolate covered potato chips. That was the beginning of my unhealthy obsession.
  7. If you ask me my favorite band/artist the answer will be different everyday. My all-time favorites are Led Zeppelin, Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse, Cake, and The Beatles.
  8. Same with my favorite songs. Depending on my mood and the day I’d say “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” (The Beatles), “War Pigs” (Black Sabbath), “Wildflowers” (Tom Petty), or “I’m Not Ok (I Promise)” (My Chemical Romance).
  9. The song I currently have on repeat is Miley Cyrus’ cover of Billie Eilish’s “my future”.
  10. An argument I will always defend with my life is that Miley Cyrus has the best voice of our generation. Especially when doing covers. She has a way of making every song her own. Do me a favor and listen to her version of “Wish You Were Here” (Pink Floyd) and “Wildflowers” (Tom Petty)
  11. I lied to the DMV when I got my license and told them I was 5’1. This was my pathetic attempt of feeling taller than 5’0 for a moment.
  12. A movie I could watch on repeat is Across the Universe.
  13. When I was younger my dream job was to tour with bands and write about them á la Will from Almost Famous.
  14. Also Penny Lane is a style ICON!
  15. I broke 3 toes at once by pretending to dramatically sit on a couch, then missing and landing on my bent backward toes.
  16. My first job was as an intern at KSMT radio in Breckenridge, CO. Once while I was adding songs to the log I accidentally hit the On-Air button and broadcasted myself singing along to “Fight For Your Right” (Beastie Boys). It wasn’t long before the DJ ran in freaking out.
  17. If I could meet anyone in the world it would have to be Julie Andrews.
  18. There is nothing I despise more than shopping at the mall.
  19. My friends all make fun of me for it, but I always carrying a deck of cards in my bag. They judge, but they can’t deny the amount of times it has come in handy when bored. Those cards have been played at beaches, concerts (between acts), car rides, camping trips, etc.
  20. During the stress of finals I avoided studying by teaching myself the harmonica. I learned “Piano Man” then gave up.
  21. My car is my baby. He is a Toyota 4Runner named Bip. That car has driven all over this country and has just reached 245,000 miles.
  22. One day I want to take a stunt driving course.
  23. I am extremely clumsy. I have at least one cut or bruise at any given time.
  24. My worst habit is forgetting to press send after typing out a text.
  25. My life motto was one I heard from Kung Fu Panda. It is “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.”
